If you love oysters, Cap Ferret is a paradise. Among the oyster tasting huts, we particularly like La cabane du Mimbeau which is the closest to the house (1km), Chez Boulan (1.5km) or the Cabane d’Hortense in Cap
Ferret (1.5 km), or the Canfouine in Canon (10 kms). It is also possible to order oyster trays that are served open on a platter to be tasted at home (price between 7 and 10€ per open dozen).

Among the restaurants of the peninsula and Pyla, we particularly appreciate Chez Hortense, the Sail Fish, trendy and delicious, rather open and lively on weekends and evenings only, the bar des 44 where you can
enjoy excellent tapas in the evening as well as Chez Pierrette at Le Canon, Le Bouchon du Ferret and Mayzou, Java and Le Roc Seven at Cap Ferret, the Wharfzazate and the White Garden at La Vigne, the Hôtel de la Plage (Chez Magne) at l’Herbe. On the Pyla side, the Co(o)rniche with its breathtaking view on the dune and the benches is not to be missed. Also the brunch every Sunday at the Hotel Ha(a)ïtza in Pyla. Finally at the bend of a boat trip the Club PLage Pereire in Arcachon for lunch and a drink (improvised concerts at the end of the day).
